Mohammed R Khan is a Pharmaceutical Consultant and Principal Synergex Consulting, Canada. He has earlier served as Director QA, QC & Regulatory Compliance with DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Canada, and on the Board of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada, Plant Operations Section. As an active member of the DIA (Drug Information Association, USA), he has served on the DIA‚Äôs Advisory Council of North America and concurrently chaired the DIA‚Äôs Canadian Programming Steering Committee from 2003 through 2007. He worked for Rajasthan Agricultural University (1983-1987) and Rothamsted Experimental Station, UK (1983-1984), CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, India (1987-2015). Since 2002, he became Professor and Head of the Division of Agronomy & Soil Science the Institute. He has published more than 150 research papers and authored 03 books, recipient of more than 18 awards, patents 07, and plant variety 06. Most awards to him was for the science and technology success. Dr Patra was selected as Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi, India and Indian Society of Soil Science, India.

This medicinal plant scientist at the University of Pretoria is ranked in the top 1% of the global Essential Science Indicators list of influential academics who write about pharmacology and toxicology. In 2014, she received the Order of Mapungubwe - South Africaís highest honour - from President Jacob Zuma, in recognition of her research.
